Mississippi Mini Congress

Please join the Mississippi Healthcare Executives, the state chapter of the American College of Healthcare Executives, for a Mississippi Mini Congress on February 20-21 at the MHA Conference Center in Madison. Jake Poore of Integrated Loyalty Systems will be our keynote. He will lead an interactive six-hour workshop on improving the patient experience to build customer loyalty. We will also present two ACHE panels, Sustainable Strategies to Support Resiliency and Professional Well-being and Strategies to Create Meaningful Executive Alignment with Physicians and Organizational Financial Goals for Healthcare Professionals. This Mississippi Mini Congress will offer members 9 hours of ACHE Category 1 Credit.

Mr. Poore and his team are transforming healthcare by hardwiring the human side into every aspect of patient experiences, including people, processes and physical environment. His unique and innovative approach engages patients, staff, and providers as the experience architects, fostering ownership, buy-in, and ensuring accountability and sustainability. Previously, Mr. Poore spent 18 years with the Disney Company, arming 60,000 employees to create positive, individualized experiences for 25 million visitors yearly.

The Mississippi chapter of the American College of Healthcare Executives is joining forces with the North Mississippi Medical Center to collect eyewear for those in need for our service project during our winter meeting. We are collecting donations of used eyeglasses, sunglasses, and reading glasses, as well as cases. We can also accept magnification devices or any low-vision equipment (like large lighted magnifiers or closed-circuit TVs). If you do not have used reading glasses, the Dollar Tree has readers for $1 if you want to pick a pair up the next time you’re browsing!

Cash donations are also accepted. NMMC uses the money to help fund eye exams and eyeglasses for low-income patients. Service hours are an important part of achieving and maintaining your FACHE credential. Be sure to participate in this event and log it on the ACHE portal as service hours! You could also lead a drive at your facility and bring your donations with you to the meeting!
