2019 Summer Student Nurse Externship Program
A mandatory informational meeting will be held for all who plan to participate in the 2019 Summer Student Nurse Externship Program (aka Externship). All hospitals and schools of nursing must send a minimum of one representative to this important update. Only those agencies who attend this meeting will be accepted for the 2019 Externship program.

Webinars will not be held as they have in years past. This is an in-person opportunity only. 

The agenda is below and includes a) the steps of participation for: the hospital, the school of nursing, and the extern; b) the requirements each entity must complete; and c) information regarding limited grant funds through the Mississippi Planning and Development Districts.  You will have the opportunity to hear how other hospitals view the program; get your questions answered; and receive guidance through the Externship process.
