The Revenue Cycle Roundtable meets quarterly, alternating in-person attendance and remote attendance. The January meeting will be held via webinar.

1 p.m. -2 p.m. Engaging Physicians in Financial Planning and Performance Improvement

This webinar will discuss why and how to engage physicians in healthcare finance and performance improvement.  It will include examples of using a lean management system approach to improve overall performance improvement. 

Learning Objectives
Learn why it is important to engage physicians in finance and performance improvement, including key ways to achieve it.
Learn how a Lean Management System engages physicians in improvement and improves physician productivity 
Learn about the role of physician leaders in creating the culture of improvement, resulting in bottom line gains in quality, safety, cost and patient access

Target Audience: CFO, CMO, CNO, Revenue Cycle and other healthcare system leaders involved in finance and performance improvement

Faculty: Byron C. Scott, MD, MBA, Deputy Chief Health Officer, Simpler Consulting®, IBM Watson Health

Dr. Scott has over 25 years of healthcare leadership experience including clinical practice.  He currently is the large integrated health system practice leader for Simpler Consulting that is part of IBM Watson Health.  Simpler supports organizations with improvement performance using a management system with a focus on lean.  Dr. Scott has experience in hospital and medical staff leadership, hospital governance, physician practice management, health analytics, and healthcare quality improvement.  Dr. Scott still practices clinically part-time and teaches a healthcare quality and performance improvement elective course at a university MBA program.
