What are the different academic ranks and job requirements of faculty in Schools of Nursing?

INSTRUCTOR, MS or MSN – Salary Range:* $56,624 – $63,586

Teaching
  • Communicates in a responsible way each semester with appropriate agency personnel regarding expectations, resources, and standards regarding student learning.
  • Identifies and incorporates current agency policies, procedures, and regulations that effect student and faculty roles and performance.
  • Functions as a liaison between SON and agencies to facilitate student learning.
  • Shares nursing expertise in a competent manner with agency personnel as requested.
  • Works with course team in suggesting changes consistent with level and program outcomes.
  • Participates actively as a team member in delivery and evaluation of curriculum, e.g., turns in test questions on time; and shares course tasks willingly.
