NMHS Names Marlatt Chief Marketing Officer

North Mississippi Health Services recently welcomed Kim Marlatt as chief marketing officer for the health system.

Marlatt has more than 25 years of experience as a strategic marketing and communications executive. She comes to Tupelo from Florida, where she most recently served as vice president of marketing and sales for InnovaCare Partners in Orlando. Prior to that, she spent nine years with BayCare, the largest health care system in the Tampa Bay area, first as regional marketing director and then as system marketing director.

From 2003-2011, Marlatt directed marketing and planning for Georgia Health Science University (now Augusta University) and MCG Health System.

“We are pleased that Kim has joined our leadership team at NMHS,” said Shane Spees, NMHS president and chief executive officer. “She brings a wealth of experience and expertise gained from other markets and sectors of health care that will be of great benefit to NMHS, our affiliated providers and our region.”

Marlatt holds a bachelor’s degree in education from Oklahoma Christian University in Oklahoma City and earned a Master of Business Administration from the University of Georgia in Athens. She and her husband, Tim, live in Tupelo and have three children— Jessica (Gary), Andrew (Lauren) and Decker. She also has four grandchildren, whom she adores, and a 13-year-old Yorkshire terrier.

NMHS includes the flagship hospital in Tupelo, as well as community hospitals in Amory, Eupora, Iuka, Pontotoc and West Point, Mississippi, and Hamilton, Alabama; a regional network of more than 45 primary and specialty clinics; nursing homes and telehealth services.
