Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS) Hospital Conditions of Participation (CoPs) and The Joint Commission (TJC) Infection Control Worksheet with Proposed Changes and Antibiotic Stewardship Program
Course Curriculum
Infection control is hit hard during a hospital survey so every facility should have a full-working familiarity with the CMS interpretive guidelines, as well as the proposed changes for assessing compliance with the infection control Conditions of Participation (CoPs).
This presentation will explain what hospital personnel need to do to be ready for surveyors, and will provide them with a better understanding of the CMS infection control interpretative guidelines and worksheet. This program will review the proposed infection control standards and changes, including the requirement to have an antibiotic stewardship program. Our presenter will also review important memos on infection control issues from CMS, ISMP IV guidelines and safe injection practices issues as well as other facets of this worksheet.
