Resilient Healthcare Leaders Workshop Series

This series provides the seasoned, mature leader and the new, emerging leader the opportunity to obtain and develop skills to help weather the professional and personal storms that we all face during our careers and lifetimes. Just as our knowledge and wisdom builds with each experience, this course is designed to be very experiential and interactive, and the sessions “build” on each other, reinforcing previously-introduced material while introducing new content. Therefore, the need to commit and obligate yourself to participate in all six learning sessions will provide the best educational experience, and the LHA will give priority to those willing to make that commitment.



Part 1:  March 10, 2021:  Resilient Healthcare Leadership in the VUCA World
- Discuss which traits and competencies are essential to effectiveness in the VUCA business world, including ownership mindset, purpose, relationships and problem solving.

Part 2:  March 11, 2021:  Strategy in a VUCA Event; Responding & Recovering from COVID-19
-Discuss and produce a mini strategy to build a more agile team, department or organization for the VUCA business environment.

Part 3:  March 17, 2021:  People Strategy for a VUCA World
-Identify the relationships most important to success; build a plan to increase connection and increase team capacity.

Part 4:  March 18, 2021:  Executive Leadership Panel
-Participate in Q&A with seasoned healthcare clinical and operations executives; ask questions and discuss the process of responding and recovering during challenging times.

Part 5:  March 24, 2021:  Individual Resilient Leader Development Planning
-Create a mini individual development plan to be more agile and resilient, and add value in personal leadership, with the team and in the organization; build on strengths, attach challenge areas and grow skills for the future.

Part 6:  April 14, 2021:  Group Coaching Roundtable (Follow-Up Session/Check In)
-This workshop series includes a small group roundtable coaching session for support and accountability.  We will discuss your progress, as you work on your resilient leadership plan, including wins, challenges and accountability for action and next steps.

Sessions 1-5 will be held from 9:00 a.m. – 11:00 a.m. CST.  Times for session 6 will be established/assigned during session 5.

OVERVIEW:
For healthcare organizations to remain competitive in an evolving healthcare market, our leaders and organizations must be equipped to inspire others, think strategically, and drive results during times of volatility, complexity, and uncertainty. The LHA is providing hospital leaders and their teams with tactics and training for responding and recovering with agility and resilience and to set their facilities apart by increasing their knowledge base and forging ahead. This interactive virtual workshop series covers vital, valuable topics for successful leadership in a complex and everchanging world.

CONTINUING EDUCATION CREDIT:
SHRM: “This program is valid for 11.0 PDCs toward SHRM-CP and SHRM-SCP recertification.” A portal will be provided at completion of the series to attendees.

ACHE Qualified Hours: By participating in the Resilient Healthcare Leader Workshop Series offered by the LHA and completing the course evaluation, participants may earn up to 11.0 ACHE Qualified Education Hours toward initial certification or recertification of the Fellow of the American College of Healthcare Executives (FACHE) designation.

Learn about the Volatile, Uncertain, Complex and Ambiguous (VUCA) business environment, and develop strategies and tools to become a more agile and resilient leader;

  • Discover strategies for leading more effectively and strategically during change and uncertainty;
  • Assess and strategize on developing and building team capacity for more impact;
  • Learn from the experience of senior healthcare leaders through an Executive Panel Q&A; and
  • Create a mini-resilient leadership development plan to improve effectiveness and add value in personal leadership, with your team and in the organization.
