New wound care products are introduced weekly and it can be challenging for health care providers to keep up with wound care trends. This webinar will discuss research-based reviews of product categories and wound care best practices, including negative pressure wound therapy, tissue-based products for wounds, dressings, topicals and modalities for rapid healing.

SPEAKER

Joan Junkin  provides clinical consults for long-term care and hospice in Nebraska and teaches as a clinical associate for University of Nebraska College of Nursing in Lincoln. She began her wound specialty as a research analyst for the pressure ulcer guideline treatment panel in 1992. During her 10 years as an acute care wound clinical nurse specialist, she conducted and published research and served as chair of the national accreditation committee for the Wound, Ostomy and Continence Nurses Society educational programs. Junkin has published articles in several peer reviewed journals and has presented seminars to professionals in all 50 states and four Canadian provinces.
