WEBINAR: Major CPT, HCPCS and ICD-10 Coding Changes for 2019


Course Curriculum
Every year hundreds of changes are made to CPT, HCPCS and ICD-10.  Additional changes to coverage and documentation requirements are issued by CMS.  There are substantial changes in 2019 to E/M, dermatology, lab, and other specialties.  The adequacy of clinical documentation and accuracy of coding are critical to an organization’s compliance and financial success.  Ensuring that your staff know and understand the changes and that the updates are made to your systems in a correct and timely manner is crucial.

Learning Objectives 
At the completion of this program, the participants will be able to:
1. Discuss the most significant changes in 2019. 
2. Explain the new documentation requirements. 
3. Identify systems and processes that should be updated to ensure compliance and financial success.

Faculty

Amy Bailey, CHC, CPC, COC, CPC-I, CCS-P is a principal with HBE Advisors.  She has over twenty years of healthcare experience and specializes in audit, compliance and litigation support services.  Amy is the former Chair of the examination committee for the American College of Medical Specialists and is a member of the Auditing and Monitoring Tools Board for the Healthcare Compliance Association.   Amy has published articles featured in Compliance Today and Health Lawyers Weekly and is a co-author of the American Health Lawyers Compliance Manual.  Amy has spoken for groups such as the American Health Lawyers Association, American Academy of Professional Coders, Healthcare Compliance Association, Georgia Hospital Association, Idaho Medical Group Management Association and the Idaho Association of Home Care. Amy has no real or perceived conflicts of interest related to this presentation.
